Overview
The College Library is situated on the second floor with a spacious reading hall. Computers with internet facility are made available to the students and teachers. Library catalogue is made available to the students through intranet. Students are now given direct access to the bookshelves. Handicapped students are given special attention and assistance for selection of books and periodicals. Library service is automated.
Our library has over 41700 books and a collection of over 66 Periodicals. A number of Ph.D. Thesis, M.Phil. Dissertation, Project Reports submitted by faculty and students are made available for reference. Over 710 CDs / DVDs on various topics / subjects are available to its rich collection.

Resources
The Lala Lajpatrai College established in 1972, and the library is one of the oldest libraries among the commerce colleges in Mumbai. The college conducts various courses to cater the needs of the society.
Library resources include a growing collection of 41700+ books; current subscriptions to 66+ periodicals and most leading newspapers and audio-visual resources to support every course offered by the college. The library's collection is growing in all subjects every year. There is back volume section for research-oriented study. The Lala Lajpatrai Memorial Lecture Series are available in hard copies as well as in digital (.pdf ) form.
The College Library is enriched with e-books, e-journals and other e-resources to cater the changing needs of the library clients in this ICT environment.
Automation & Services
From January 2007, the library is fully automated with SOUL library integrated software developed by INFLIBNET (UGC). It is upgraded to SOUL 2.0 in 2010. Further upgraded to SOUL 3.0 in 2021. The library has five terminals with OPAC facilities for searching and locating books and journals meant for students' use. These PCs can be used by students for their Project work, Dissertation etc. Students and Faculty can search the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and access library services via the computer network in College Campus. Since 1983 the retrospective conversion of the library catalogue has been done. The books are Bar-coded for circulation service from January 2007.
