The BMM-BAMMC department of the Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics hosted a virtual celebration to commemorate our 72nd Republic Day. The main theme throughout the event was “DESH KE JAWAAN, YEH SHAAM UNKE NAAN”.

The event kicked off with an address from the Guest of Honour, Principle Dr. Neelam Arora followed by speeches from HOD Dr. Sangeeta Makkad and Prof.Delaveen Tarapore after which, the event was declared open. Student Coordinator Nazish Jahan Khan spoke about the theme and Republic Day.  This was then followed by a speech by our FY student Avan Navdar on the Relevance of Republic Day. A very heart touching ballad tribute to our soldiers performed by our FY student Firas Damudi was then displayed followed by a soulful music performance by Aryan Shah, Ajinkya Raut and Ameya Desai. This was then succeeded by a thought-provoking monologue performed by students of the BMM & BAMMC department. An energetic and patriotic dance video served as a good end to the screening session. Dr. Sangeeta Makkad and Prof. Delaveen Tarapore gave some very positive feedback for the event following which, the event was declared close.

It was a successful morning filled with a sense of patriotism, fraternity and respect amongst all those in attendance.

The Punjabi Association of the Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics hosted a virtual celebration for our most favorite festival that is Lohri. The main theme throughout the event was “KEEPING THE PUNJABI RITUAL HIGH SPRITITE”.

On 13^th January 2021, a colourful and memorable Cultural Fest was organized by the Punjabi Association of our college Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce & Economics. This event was held on a virtual platform on Zoom. In this mega event, we had participation from different streams.

The grand show commenced by the arrival of various steams from the college. Then the Chief Guest, Ms. Nidhi Bhanushali AKA Sonu from Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma (TMKUC).There was a colourful welcome followed by the introduction of our honourable followed by the introduction of our chairperson Dr. Neelam Arora convenor and BMM-BAMMC HOD Dr. Sangeeta Makkad and Professors in charge Dr. Mohana Bhandkar and Prof. Inderjeet Kaur .
