A One Day
Interdisciplinary National Conference on Emerging and Innovative Trends in
Humanities, Commerce, Science, and Environment was organised on 5th
of June 2020 by the Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai
-34 in collaboration with the Mumbai University.
It was a novel initiative by Lala Ljpatrai
college to commemorate and celebrate the World Environment Day on 5th
June by organising an online E. conference to connect the fraternity from
academics along with the students through this E. Conference.
Present on the occasion
were the keynote Speaker Dr. Chitralekha Vaidya CEO of Varshasookt Pvt.Ltd.,who
delivered her keynote address on Waste management. She also shared her concern
on the rising waste, piled up garbage and different government and
non-government initiatives to tackle the problem of waste management.
Chief guest cum Resource
person of the first session, Professor Dr. Anil Gupta, Head, Division of
Environment, Climate and Disaster Risk Management. (NIDM), New-Delhi, gave an
outline on Resilience in Businesses, Agriculture and Public Health – pre and
post COVID -19.
The Valedictory session
was addressed by Dr. Rajveer Sharma, former Professor Delhi University.
In total 150 delegates across India had participated and there were more than 50 paper presentations in four different track sessions.
